Grado - SR-80i - Open air Headphones

What does the i stand for in the new SR-80i from Grado? Improved, that’s what! Built on the same features as the SR60i, the SR-80i receives a few upgrades.  First, an upgraded 4 conductor connecting cable for greater resolution.  Then the diaphragms are put through a special 'de-stressing' process in order to enhance inner detail, the result of which gives a more open stage.

The new SR-80i gets an upgraded driver design, as well as a new plastic housing, enlarged with improved mass distribution for lower resonance. The way the SR-80i’s new driver and plastic housing move air and react to sound vibrations are now less affected by transient distortions. The SR-80i provides improved bass power, which enhances the overall detail. The SR-80i offers improved control of the upper and lower range of the frequency spectrum which complements Grado’s world renowned midrange.
