Sherwood Newcastle - R-774 - Surround Receiver

It's tough being the little brother. The second receiver in the Sherwood Newcastle line, the R-774 loses the advanced Trinnov automatic room EQ and Silicon Optix scaling of its big brother, but still strikes an excellent balance between amplifier might and processing smarts.

The R-774 combines a powerful 7-channel amplifier with native processing for just about anything you can throw at it…including native decoding for the most advanced Dolby and dts formats, even SACD and DVD-A music surround discs.

Setup is a breeze thanks to an automatic speaker setup system (microphone included) and Sherwood Newcastle's proprietary SNAP automatic equalization. All of your video sources will be displayed via HDMI in glorious 1080P due to advanced video processing from Anchor Bay. Like the R-972, the R-774 also supports multi-room operation, and two of its amplifier channels can be configured to automatically switch over to operate the Zone 2 speakers when the second zone is powered on, so you can enjoy music on the patio while someone's inside listening to a 5.1 surround movie! Some optional accessories allow access to Sirius Satellite Radio, Bluetooth wireless streaming from your computer or mobile phone, and even an optional remote-controllable iPod dock.
