NHT Classic Absolute Center - center speaker (each)

The new NHT Absolute Center features the same precise imaging and overall presence as the Absolute Zero, but is designed to be situated above or below a video display. We don’t know of any similarly priced bookshelf speaker that comes close to the imaging you get from the Absolute Zero, and now you can create a matched surround sound package by adding the Absolute Center.

Featuring a two-way acoustic suspension design with two 5.25-inch polypropylene woofers and a 1-inch aluminum dome, the Absolute Zero Center is fully shielded for placement above or below a video display. Power is rated at 175 Watts peak, 75 Watts RMS. Frequency response is 80Hz-20kHz.

The Absolute Center and Absolute Zero are part of NHT's CLASSIC speaker line, itself a marriage of revered and updated technology, incorporating the acknowledged performance benefits of acoustic suspension design with new baffles that are twice as thick as previous passive models.

The CLASSIC baffle design reduces cabinet panel vibrations and subsequently improves transient response, while the expansive radii at the top sides of the cabinet smooth out the mid- and high-frequency response for all listening positions, especially off-axis.

With CLASSIC loudspeakers, NHT invested significant time and resources in creating new, ultra-rigid driver frames with improved shielding through the use of BMC (Bulk Molding Compound) that was originally designed and implemented for the acclaimed XdS speaker.
