NHT IW4 - 3-way premium in-wall speaker (each)

The iW4 features a newly designed 2" midrange for enhanced dialogue and vocal reproduction, as well as two 5.25" woofers and an aluminum dome tweeter, culminating in precise, detailed imaging, even when sitting off axis. This model is custom-tailored for full-bodied systems that require extremely high output and solid surround coverage. The newly developed midrange is borrowed from NHT's top-of-the-line professional monitor, the M-80, which, like the iW4, is tuned to high output applications. Not only does it play loud, but midrange clarity is significantly more detailed than standard in-wall loudspeakers. The use of a large 2" dome midrange allows a low crossover frequency of 700Hz between it and the two 5.25" woofers. The neodymium motors included in both the 2" midrange and tweeter allows them to be placed very close together. This configuration results in a considerably wider listening area by eliminating the typical "hot" and "dull" spots associated with most in-wall designs. The iW4 is moisture-resistant and features an internal frame-mounting system that works equally well in preconstruction or retrofit installations.
